Installation

How Cemimax DP101 Moisture Vapor Retarder is applied

01

Subfloor preparation

The surface must be professionally prepared and in a clean, dry condition free of oil, wax and dust. Wood, open-pored linoleum and decorative screed floors must be primed before application. Floor and material temperature must not fall below 15°C during application and drying. Suitability for safety floorings, heavily structured surfaces and studded floors must be checked on site before use.

02

How to apply

Shake the base component vigorously before adding the crosslinker. Add the crosslinker to the base at a ratio of 5:1 and mix immediately until thorough and even. Allow the mixture to settle for 10 minutes, then stir again before use. Do not mix more than can be used within 4 hours at 20°C. Apply evenly with a roller in one coat at a minimum of 15°C. Consumption is approximately 50 to 80 g/m² per coat, or 80 to 100 ml/m² on wood, cork or decorative screed floors. The floor can be carefully walked on after approximately 24 hours and reaches full durability and chemical resistance after 7 days. Do not wet mop in the first three days.

03

System integration

CEMIMAX DP101 Moisture Vapor Retarder functions as the final protective coating within the complete Cemimax flooring installation system, sealing surfaces to ensure long-term durability and abrasion resistance. It is applied over primers, adhesives and self leveling compound substrates once these are fully cured.
