Installation

How Cemimax DL59 is applied

01

Subfloor preparation

The substrate must be sound, dry, clean and free from cracks and any materials that would impair adhesion. Test the substrate according to applicable standards. Brush, abrade, grind or shot-blast any weak surface sections, then vacuum thoroughly to remove loose material and dust. Apply the recommended Cemimax primer to suit the type and condition of the subfloor and allow it to dry thoroughly.

02

How to apply

Pour 4 litres of cold clean water into a clean container. Sprinkle in the 20 kg bag while stirring briskly with a drill fitted with a mixing paddle. Mix for 3 minutes to a thick, lump-free fluid and do not mix too thinly. Pour the mixture onto the area and spread uniformly to the required thickness using a toothed rake, then remove entrapped air with a spike roller. Walkable from 2 hours. Drying time is approximately 24 hours at 20°C. Best applied at 18 to 25°C with floor temperature above 15°C and relative humidity below 75%.

03

System integration

Use with the recommended Cemimax primer for the subfloor type. Suitable for radiant floor heating systems and for use over acoustic underlays. Suitable for timber flooring as direct stick and as an overlayment over timber substrates. Can be used as an overlay for polished concrete floors. Pigments can be added for colour and aggregates can be added for an exposed stone effect.
