What is Cemimax DP101 Primer?

CEMIMAX DP101 is an extremely high performance dispersion primer for absorbent subfloors. It is ready to use, dries rapidly and promotes an excellent bond before the installation of adhesives, smoothing layers or self leveling compound systems. DP101 is solvent free and suitable for interior and exterior use.

Installation

How Cemimax DP101 Primer is applied

Subfloor preparation

The surface must be sound, clean and dry without any loose particles or contamination. Remove all debris by vacuuming or thorough cleaning so the substrate is ready for priming.

How to apply

Dilute the primer with clean water at a ratio between 1:1 and 1:5 depending on the condition of the substrate. Apply evenly with a fine-pored foam roller to fully cover the surface. Allow the primer to dry to a clear, transparent and almost tack-free film. The primer is touch dry in 15 to 20 minutes. On absorbent surfaces in favourable conditions a drying time of 1 to 3 hours is normally adequate. Do not leave the primed surface exposed to the elements for more than 2 hours. Application temperature should not be lower than 5°C.

CEMIMAX DP101 functions as a penetration-enhancing dispersion primer, preparing absorbent substrates to ensure uniform bonding and long-term flooring durability. It is used ahead of adhesives, smoothing layers and Cemimax leveling compounds, which are applied within the drying time of the primer.
