High-Performance Self-Adhesive Waterproofing Membrane
CEMIMAX Self-Adhesive Waterproofing Membrane is a cross-laminated HDPE membrane combined with polymer-modified rubber bitumen adhesive, engineered to create a permanently bonded waterproof barrier on concrete structures. It prevents water migration, resists mechanical damage, and ensures long-term structural protection in below-grade and horizontal applications.

What is Cemimax Waterproofing Membrane?

CEMIMAX Self-Adhesive Waterproofing Membrane is a high-performance cold-applied waterproofing membrane made of cross-laminated high-density polyethylene (HDPE) film and polymer self-adhesive rubber bitumen. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer bonds quickly and permanently to concrete, while the cross-laminated film provides excellent dimensional stability, thermal stability and bidirectional tear resistance.

Installation

How Cemimax Waterproofing Membrane is applied

Subfloor preparation

The membrane is applied to concrete substrates. With wet bonding installation there is a low requirement for the construction surface and the membrane is not affected by dampness of the base layer. Make sure the membrane can adhere properly at perimeters and around penetrations.

How to apply

Always apply the membrane from the lowest point so that laps shed water. Edge and end laps must overlap by a minimum of 60 mm, following the 60 mm overlap line marked on each roll. On vertical surfaces the joints should overlap by at least 100 mm and be shaped to shed water. Apply an extra layer of membrane 300 mm wide to internal and external corners. Seal all exposed edges and end laps with a bead of self-adhesive mastic. Use a protection board before backfilling to protect the membrane from damage. Do not leave the membrane exposed to UV light for long periods.

System integration

CEMIMAX Self-Adhesive Waterproofing Membrane forms a permanent bond with structural concrete, creating a continuous waterproof barrier. In pre-laid applications concrete can be poured directly onto the membrane without extra protection. Exposed edges and laps are sealed with self-adhesive mastic and the membrane is covered with a protection board before backfilling.
